KMR has just completed installation of groundwater monitoring bores inside an operational plant in Launceston. Work was completed with Rig No.3 Explorer 50.
Because of the confined space and limited head room available the Explorer 50 was well suited to this project.
Drilling methods included concrete coring, hollow flight auger drilling and continuous sampling.
The project was sucessfully completed with no disruption to the operation.

KMR were recently engaged to undertake water pressure testing on the existing drains at Catagunya Dam.
NQ inflatable injection packers were used to perform pressure meter testing.
Holes were pressurised to the required pressure using a helical rotor pump, pressures being recorded off calibrated pressure gauges and the "take" volume being recorded by a calibrated flow meter.
The project was completed to the satisfaction of the client.
